2012年，面向地球空间信息战略性新兴产业发展需求，武大牵头，联合中国航天科技集团、清华、北航等单位，正式组建了地球空间信息技术协同创新中心。中心以“高分”、“二代导航”重大科技专项为基础，整合国内外优势力量，通过协同创新，将我国地球空间信息技术提升至国际一流水平，持续推动我国地球空间信息产业发展。 两年来，围绕地球空间信息技术的前沿基础理论、“高分”与“二代导航”关键技术以及高新技术产业化推动三方面核心任务，开展了卓有成效的协同工作，在资源三号和“高分”遥感卫星数据高精度处理、北斗地基增强系统和基于天地图的空间信息网络服务等方面取得了多项具有广泛影响的重大成果；与武汉市政府分别于2012年、2013年与中心共建“武汉导航与位置服务工业技术研究院”和“武汉遥感与空间信息工业技术研究院”，稳步推进北斗位置服务系统和商业高分辨遥感卫星系统建设，以推动我国地球空间信息技术产业化发展。 未来，我们将继续发挥体制机制优势，将中心建成国际一流的地球空间信息创新基地，持续引领我国地球空间信息产业发展，实现地球空间信息技术“强军、富国、利民”的目标！ In 2012, to meet the rising demands for geospatial information strategic industry development, Wuhan University, together with China Aerospace Science and Technology Group (CASC), Tsinghua University, and Beihang University formally established the Collaborative Innovation Center for Geospatial Information Technology. Based on major scientific and technological projects such as “High Resolution Earth Observation System” and “the Second-Generation Satellite Navigation System”; integrating the advantages of both domestic and international strengths in geospatial information technology, the Center aims to promote China’s geospatial information technology to an advanced international level, and constantly pushes forward the development of the geospatial information industry by way of collaboration and innovation. Since its recent foundation two years ago, the Center has achieved efficient and productive work in three domains: the study on basic and frontier theories of geospatial information technology; research on key technologies of “High Resolution Earth Observation System” and “the Second-Generation Satellite Navigation System”; and promotion of high-tech industrialization. A number of significant achievements were obtained, such as high-precision processing of “ZY-3” and “GF” satellite images; the development of the Beidou ground enhancement system; and spatial information network services based on “Map World”. In 2012 and 2013, the Center jointly established “Wuhan Navigation and LBS, Inc.” and “Wuhan Remote Sensing and Spatial Information, Inc.” in partnership with the Wuhan Municipal Government for the construction of the Beidou LBS service system and a commercial high-resolution remote sensing system, so as to promote the development of geospatial information industry in China. In the future, we will continue to share in the advantages of the operational system and mechanisms of the Center; promote the Center to become one of the world-class geospatial information innovation bases; and to constantly lead the development of the geospatial information industry in China.
